Free tools for YouTube creators β€” thumbnails, titles and numbers, sorted in seconds

Creator Toolbox handles the small everyday jobs around publishing a video: grab any thumbnail in HD, preview how yours will look in the feed, score a title before you publish, estimate what your views are worth, and see exactly when you will reach 4,000 watch hours. Every tool is free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser β€” nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere.

πŸ–ΌοΈ YouTube Thumbnail Downloader

Paste any YouTube video link and get its thumbnail in every size YouTube stores, up to full HD (1280Γ—720). Studying how successful channels in your niche package their videos is one of the fastest ways to improve your own click-through rate β€” this tool makes that research take seconds.

Note: not every video has an HD thumbnail β€” older or low-resolution uploads may only offer the smaller sizes, and any missing size is marked below. If a download opens the image in a new tab instead of saving it, right-click (or long-press) the image and choose β€œSave image as” β€” browsers restrict direct downloads of images hosted on other sites.

πŸ” Thumbnail Tester β€” Preview at Real Sizes

A thumbnail that looks great full-screen can fall apart at the tiny size viewers actually see it. Upload your design β€” or pull in an existing video's thumbnail β€” and check it in the four places it really appears: the home feed, search results, the up-next sidebar and the mobile feed.

Your previews will appear here once you upload an image or load one from a link.

Tip: if you cannot read your thumbnail's main words at the sidebar size, most viewers scrolling on phones will not be able to either. Bigger text and fewer elements almost always win.

✍️ YouTube Title Analyser

Your title does half the work of earning a click. Type a draft below and it is scored live out of 100 against the patterns that consistently perform: a length that survives mobile screens, an early hook, a number, curiosity words and clean formatting. Treat the score as a checklist, not a verdict β€” a title you believe in beats a formula.

πŸ’° YouTube Money Calculator

What are your views actually worth? Enter your monthly views and your niche to see an estimated earnings range. The figures use RPM β€” what a creator typically keeps per 1,000 views after YouTube's share β€” rather than the higher CPM advertisers pay, so the ranges reflect money in your pocket, not headlines.

Estimated monthly earnings
$100 – $400
Estimated yearly earnings
$1,200 – $4,800

Based on 100,000 views Γ— RPM $1–$4. Estimate only β€” real RPM varies with audience country, video length, season and advertiser demand, and can fall outside this range.

⏱️ Watch-Time Calculator β€” Your Date for 4,000 Hours

Monetisation through the YouTube Partner Programme needs 4,000 public watch hours in 12 months (alongside 1,000 subscribers). Enter where you are now and how your recent videos are performing, and this calculator works out how many hours you gain per day β€” and the estimated date you cross the line.

Estimate only: it assumes your daily views and average view duration stay roughly the same. One strong video can pull the date months closer β€” and watch hours older than 12 months stop counting, so steady publishing matters.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use with no sign-up and no usage limits. The site is supported by advertising, and a Premium tier with batch features may be added later β€” the core tools here will stay free.

Do you store my titles, images or video links?

No. Every tool runs entirely in your own browser. Your thumbnail images never leave your device, titles are scored on the page in front of you, and there is no account system collecting anything.

Why is the HD thumbnail missing for some videos?

YouTube only generates the full 1280Γ—720 thumbnail when the video itself was uploaded in high enough quality. Older or low-resolution videos may only have the smaller sizes β€” the downloader marks any missing size automatically instead of giving you a broken file.

Can I reuse a thumbnail I downloaded?

A video's thumbnail belongs to its creator. Downloading one to study layout, colours and text β€” the way you would study a book cover β€” is normal creator research. Republishing someone else's thumbnail as your own is not: always make your own design.

How accurate is the Money Calculator?

It is an estimate built from typical RPM ranges per niche. Your real earnings depend on where your viewers live, how long they watch, the time of year and which advertisers want your audience. Use it for planning and comparing niches β€” not as a promise of income.

Why is there no video downloader?

Deliberately. Downloading videos breaks YouTube's terms of service and can endanger a creator's own channel and ad accounts. Creator Toolbox only works with thumbnails, titles and public numbers β€” the parts of a video that are meant to be looked at.
